This $1,000 research award allows graduate students to complete doctoral dissertation work when laboratory funds are in jeopardy or nonexistent.
The grant is for research supplies for the awardee. It is not for use for salaries, travel costs, or anything that falls out of the realm of research supplies essential for the student to whom the grant is awarded. The Graduate Student Association bases the award on financial need and professional merit through the aid of a committee composed of peers and faculty. This award will be given twice annually, once in the spring and once in the fall semester.
