Meet us at the 2024 Annual AAAS Meeting
Created more than 150 years ago, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) was established to provide opportunities to enhance scientific dialogue and exchange. Its current mission statement reads: “Advance science, engineering, and innovation throughout the world for the benefit of all.” As part of many activities to advance its mission, the AAAS holds an annual meeting. It is a premier event for scientists, researchers, and from a diverse range of disciplines as well as for anyone who is passionate about science and its role in shaping our world to come together and learn about latest findings, network with each other, and engage in thought-provoking discussions. Attending the annual meeting is a great opportunity to keep up with the latest developments in science or broaden your perspectives. It is also a great opportunity to learn more about the newest trends and developments in science communication as there are always a ton of sessions and events on science communication. Different session formats, ranging from e-poster sessions and lightning talks to more traditional panel discussions and workshops, offer something for everyone.
Access to the annual meeting is virtual or in person. This year’s meeting will be from February 15-17 in Denver, Colorado. For complete access to all the sessions, attendees will need to pay a registration fee, and there are different levels of registrations for students, retired professionals, post-docs, and general attendees. Some sessions are also available without paying any registration fees. Check out the website for the annual meeting. The SciComm program will also have a table at the event, so if you decide to attend in person, make sure you stop by!
