PATRICIA CAMPBELL J.D., LL.M.
Patricia Campbell is a Law School Professor at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in Baltimore, where she serves as the director of the Intellectual Property Law Program. Professor Campbell also directs the Maryland Intellectual Property Legal Resource Center, which houses the law school’s Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic.
Prior to joining the law school in 2007, Professor Campbell was a litigator and transactional attorney in the Fish & Neave IP Group at Ropes & Gray in Palo Alto, California, and Washington, DC. Professor Campbell has also worked at law firms in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, and she served as Associate General Counsel to a telecommunications start-up in Bethesda, Maryland.
Professor Campbell is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received a master’s degree and her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she was a Note and Comment Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. Professor Campbell also earned an LLM in intellectual property law from the Santa Clara University School of Law in Santa Clara, California.
In addition to her appointments at Maryland Carey Law, Professor Campbell also holds a joint appointment as an Associate Professor and Senior Fellow at the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (Mtech), A. James Clark School of Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park.
