Tyler Holliday

Bio

Tyler Holliday, MD, is an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2017, after completing undergraduate degrees in biology and biochemistry at West Virginia University Honors College. He went on to complete his residency in general surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. He subsequently completed fellowship training in surgical critical care at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and the Regional One Health Elvis Presley Trauma Center. 

Dr. Holliday is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care and is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor. His academic interests include trauma and acute care surgery, mainly outcomes-based research with a particular focus on evidence-based perioperative management. Dr. Holliday is actively involved in surgical education and currently serves as the surgical clinical site director at the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, where he enjoys teaching and mentoring surgical trainees.
