Bio
Rishi Kundi, MD, is the Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Trauma Surgery at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. After completing a general surgery residency and a vascular surgical fellowship, he practiced as a vascular surgeon for several years before seeking additional training in surgical critical care and trauma surgery. At Shock Trauma, his practice includes both vascular trauma and primary trauma surgery. His academic interests include vascular injury, endovascular trauma surgery, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in the injured patient, and vascular trauma education in the context of integrated vascular training. He is also the director of the GO TEAM, the rapidly deployable arm of Shock Trauma through which advanced procedures and resuscitation can be performed on-scene and enroute.
