Jaclyn Clark

Bio

Jaclyn Clark, MD, MSHPE, FACS, is an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Director of Physician Education at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.  She received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in 2013 and stayed on to complete her internship and residency in general surgery.  She completed her fellowship in surgical critical care at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.  

After deciding to pursue education as an academic goal, she completed her master’s in health professions education from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.    

As the Director of Physician Education, Dr. Clark has created an online curriculum for rotating trainees at Shock Trauma called Trauma: The First Hour, focusing on the care of the traumatically injured patient on presentation to the hospital.  She subsequently designed an online curriculum for the fellowship consisting of over 30 didactic lectures.  She enjoys teaching and mentoring trainees at all levels.
