Associate Professor of Intercultural Communication at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County
Dr. Golubeva is Associate Professor of Intercultural Communication at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (Baltimore MD, USA) and co-director of Intercultural Leadership Certificate Program. She teaches and publishes in four languages: English, Hungarian, Russian and Spanish. Professor Golubeva’s main research interests concern the development of multilingual awareness and intercultural competence, internationalisation of higher education, and conceptualization of intercultural citizenship, and she leads the Center for the Advancement of Intercultural Communication at UMBC. She is strongly committed to non-profit work, and served for seven years as a vice-president of the European Association of Teachers.
