Carey Martin has worked in the field of Research Administration for over a decade. Currently, she is the Director of Clinical Business Operations for University of Maryland School of Medicine's Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health. Working at the department level, she is involved in the full cycle of grants and contracts management from proposal conception to award closeout. Mrs. Martin holds a graduate certificate in Research Administration from University of Maryland, Baltimore and is a Certified Research Administrator through the Research Administrators Certification Council. She earned an M.A. degree in Nonprofit Management from Notre Dame of Maryland University, an M.B.A. degree from Strayer University, and a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Stevenson University. She instructs the Grant and Contract Management in Research course.
