Bio
Carey Martin has worked in the field of Research Administration for nearly two decades. Currently, she is the Business Operations Administrator for UMB's Office of Accountability and Compliance, which includes University Accountability, Research Integrity, the Human Research Protection Program, the Office of Animal Welfare Assurance, and Veterinary Resources. Prior to this role, she served as the Director of Clinical Business Operations for the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health. Working at the department level, she was involved in the full cycle of grants and contracts management from proposal conception to award closeout.
Mrs. Martin holds a graduate certificate in Research Administration from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and is a Certified Research Administrator through the Research Administrators Certification Council. She earned an M.A. degree in Nonprofit Management from Notre Dame of Maryland University, an M.B.A. degree from Strayer University, and a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Stevenson University. She is currently pursuing a D.B.A. degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Mrs. Martin is an instructor within the Research Administration Certificate Program.
