On September 10, Shani Fleming, MS, MPH, PA-C, represented the PALLA research team at the PAEA Town Hall “Hot Topic” exploring the impact of the entry-level doctorate in health professions. The PALLA research team, also including Dr. Gerald Kayingo, Dr. Karen Gordes, Dr. Violet Kulo and Dr. Jim Cawley, was one of five teams awarded a PAEA research grant to inform the organization’s policy decisions on this important topic.

The Physician Assistant Leadership and Learning Academy (PALLA) is a state-wide initiative led by the University of Maryland, Baltimore to develop the Physician Assistant faculty workforce and capacity to educate the next generation of PA students and advance Physician Assistant education, research, and policy.
