This training will position them well for the pursuit of non-academic professional opportunities within the biotech industry.
At the conclusion of the certificate students will be able to:

- Effectively lead and manage a team project.
- Present an executive summary for an entrepreneurial business plan to potential investors and their faculty.

"UMB opened the doors for me to exploring all kinds of career options. While I knew I wanted to be surrounded by science since I was young, my career trajectory really took launch after I took the Entrepreneurship in Life Sciences course. It was there I began to appreciate all of the things my passion for science could be put toward beyond the bench. It gave me that opportunity to connect with many of the people I today call my colleagues and mentors. Ultimately, the path I paved lead to a career in biotech business development.”
