Application Process
Step #1 - Scholarship Application:
To be determine eligibility for the scholarship complete your application by April 15, 2022. The scholarship application requests a recommendation from your current UMB affiliated supervisor. Interview process may be conducted after review committee determines scholarship eligibility.
Step #2 - Application to Degree Program:
Next, apply to either the M.S. in Global Health or the M.S. in Health Science by May 1. Review application and program requirements here.

Register for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) if you plan to apply to the MS in Health Science program. Alternatively, if an applicant would like to pursue a GRE waiver, contact Dr. Niya Werts, program director of the MS in Health Science Program. Please follow all degree application requirements and deadlines.
Applicants whose native language or language of the home is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. The minimum acceptable TOEFL score for admission is 80 for the internet-based test (IBT). IELTS test takers must score no less than Band 7 (total). Some graduate programs have higher minimum score requirements.
Applicants who are citizens of any of the countries on the list below and whose total education (primary – tertiary) was conducted in English are not required to take an English proficiency exam: Botswana, Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania Zambia, Sierra Lione Namibia, Kenya, and Liberia.
