Six stories tall, the Health Sciences and Human Services Library, with its striking architecture, 900 seats, more than 40 study rooms, and three microcomputer labs, provides students with a focal point for both traditional and computerized information resources and services. Distinguished as the first library established by a medical school in the United States, the HS/HSL is a recognized leader in state-of-the-art information technology. Serving all the schools on campus and the University of Maryland Medical System, the HS/HSL contains more than 360,000 volumes, including over 3,000 print and digital journal titles.It is consistently ranked among the top 25 health sciences libraries in the country.
