Computer Resources

UMB provides computing support to students. The Assistance and Service Center, a part of the Center for Information and Technology Services, is comprised of a help desk and an enterprise training cener. ASC provides students with a variety of services, including creation and support of e-mail accounts, access to the campus online course management system (BlackBoard), UMnet computer account management, and support of enterprise applications. For information, call 410-706-HELP (4357).

Students also have access to the research and information commons area of the Health Sciences and Human Services Library, which provides 37 Windows-based machines. There, students may use e-mail, databases, the Web, word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, and other software. There is also a facility for color printing and preparation of slides. Training workshops are available on a variety of computing and information topics. For information, call 410-706-7328.
