Computer Resources

UMB provides computing support to students. The Assistance and Service Center, a part of the Center for Information and Technology Services, is comprised of a help desk and an enterprise training cener. ASC provides students with a variety of services, including creation and support of e-mail accounts, access to the campus online course management system (BlackBoard), UMnet computer account management, and support of enterprise applications. Students also have access to the research and information commons area of the Health Sciences and Human Services Library, which provides 37 Windows-based machines. There, students may use e-mail, databases, the Web, word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, and other software. There is also a facility for color printing and preparation of slides.
